Program Overview
This project is made possible thanks to the generous support of Numi Foundation, MPOWERD, and Good360.
July - September 2022 - Phase 2 Plans & Goals
With approximately 6 million displaced persons in Ukraine, local infrastructure severely compromised, basic needs such as clean water, light, and power to charge small devices have become a primary focus. Knowing the risk people are collecting water from unsafe surface sources: streams, puddles, and rivers, they simply have no choice.
Based on the impact and needs assessment from the pilot we have continued our partnership with the Numi Foundation and expanded it to include MPOWERD and Go360, to expand our overall impact with solar lights and chargers.
Moving into the next phase of our Ukraine response we need your help. Our goal is to raise 1 million dollars to provide access to clean water for 550K people*. We are also receiving additional support from MPOWERD and their network which will help with funding for more filters, as well as solar lights with a charging capability.
Feel free to donate if you are inclined, if not, please help us by sharing this initiative so we can continue to spread the word and help those in need.
*Impact estimation is based on historic program data. In disaster scenarios we have seen an average of 25 people use each water filter when deployed in a community setting. In addition we have seen increase in longevity when filters are placed with family units.
April 2022 - Pilot Update
Our pilot program was a success. We effectively identified and vetted 4 implementation networks who were able to reach and train displaced and isolated persons within Ukraine. Those networks implemented our water filter program, distributing 530 water filters and providing access to clean water for 15,000 Ukrainians*, but the work has just begun.
The sheer scope of the physical damage and impact on the people of Ukraine is staggering. As one of our local team members put it, “the number one business in Ukraine for the next decade will be debris removal.”

March 2022
Within its borders, there are approximately 2 million displaced persons who have been forced from their homes in Ukraine. Now with a gamut of challenges ahead of them and local infrastructure severely compromised, basic needs such as clean water become a primary focus–leaving many folks to collect water from unsafe surface sources: streams, puddles, ponds, etc.
It is within this need that we are happy to announce the launch of an emergency clean water initiative for Ukraine. Led by our Veteran team, Clean Water Corps, we will be on the ground as early as next week to begin training and outfitting our local Ukrainian partner with water filtration systems.
With the rapidly evolving dangerous situation on the ground our team will be initially focused on training our Ukrainian partners who are specifically servicing displaced persons still inside Ukraine. This is a complex activation in a challenging time, but we believe access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and we will continue to serve that right as long as we can.
We can’t think of a more noble effort to get behind on World Water Day than this, so please feel free to support us by sharing this post and/or donating directly to the Ukraine Initiative at the link in our bio.
Please check back here and our social media for regular updates.
Thank you!
