Last November, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines initiated a campaign to mobilize the business community to provide aid to hard-hit areas by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses, in partnership with Waves For Water Philippines and other non-profit organizations. With the support of Holcim Philippines, one of the ECCP's members, 35 water filtration systems were deployed to affected communities in Isabela, providing safe water to over a thousand residents for years to come.
Implementation Updates
7 February 2021
The last 7 filters were implemented in District 1, Cauayan City, Isabela. In participation were barangay health workers and other local leaders.
26 January 2021
Another 14 filters were implemented in Quinlabasa, Naguilian, Isabela. The trianing was conducted with barangay officials and local community leaders.
17 January 2021
Another 8 filters were implemented in San Fermin, Cauayan, Isabela with the support of our local partners. Photo above shows the training conducted for the filters' proper use and maintenance.
26 December 2020
6 filters were implemented in Sto. Tomas, Isabela.
