Fundraiser Overview
Dispersion is defined as the action or process of distributing things or people over a wide area.
The hurricanes stormed through the Caribbean and left these islands in state of devastation. We live in a day and age where we have the technology and means to respond to our fellow brothers and sisters as they are experiencing loss in this time. There is a need for help across the entire world at this time; we can come together to disperse our funds and our aid to the many people of this world, especially to those in the Caribbean, and help them rebuild their homes and rebuild their hope. We are all connected to this earth and these natural disasters affect us all.
The northeast stoke was at an all time high throughout September, but we are not naive to the source of the ocean's swell. While we were reaping in the benefits of mother nature's energy, others were facing head on her path of destruction. It was not too long ago that our home on the Jersey shore was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. We saw first hand how traumatizing it is to be in that line of fire.
On October 14th, we will be throwing a pop-up art show featuring work from local artists of the jersey shore in the basement of Capitoline in Asbury Park, NJ (from 1pm-6pm). This will be a fundraiser event for hurricane relief efforts. We are linking up with Waves for Water who are down in the Caribbean right now distributing filters for access to clean water. Having access to clean water is the key to survival and essential for the rebirth of life. 20% of any art sold will go to this fundraiser; there will also be a donation box, and if you can't attend but would like to support the cause, you can donate to this page. Let us all come together and rise up.
