In the wake of Hurricanes Maria and Irma the situation in the Caribbean and Puerto Rico in particular is getting worse by the day. 1 month after hurricane Maria and over 60% of Puerto Ricans DO NOT have access to clean water! That means 2-3 million people, for over a month! On top of that only 20-30% of Puerto Ricans have electricity, with little chance in the near future. Imagine, in a hot tropical climate not having water or electricity (or food, or shelter). Brutal, incomprehensible, and unconscionable that this is happening in 2017. And it is certainly not just Puerto Rico, but islands throughout the Caribbean.

This is a true human tragedy unfolding to our south, not far from where many of us have traveled and vacationed.

Many of us have the means to help. We can support Waves For Water to get into these communities and distribute water filtration systems like the one in the picture above. W4W have already impacted over 50,000 as part of this effort alone. Every dollar literally goes to giving someone who is in dire need, access to clean drinking water.
