I consider Nicaragua my second home and I love to go there as much as possible during my time off from work. Nicaragua is ranked as the 18th poorest country in the world and with the recent political protests this will only be getting worse over the near future. Forbes estimates that they will be in the Top 10 poorest countries by 2022, at the latest. When I am visiting I am exposed daily to how the locals struggle and the extremes they must go through on a daily basis to eat and have clean water to drink.

My goal is to take up to 25 water filters during my April 24th to May 6th visit with a total of 50 over the next year.
